A stone threshing barn turned family home, its great door now a window.
The challenge
The barn stood empty for forty years. Its walls were sound, its roof was not.
The solution
We rebuilt the roof on a new frame, kept the stone untouched and glazed the original cart opening from floor to ridge.
The outcome
Rooms are arranged around a single double-height hall. Lime plaster, oak and local stone throughout.
